Romanoff Closes Gap on Norton, Survey Says

U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff has pulled into a virtual tie with the leading Republican contender and continues to run well ahead of Michael Bennet, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll released today.

The March edition of Rasmussen's monthly telephone survey of Colorado voters finds the Republican, former Lieutenant Governor Jane Norton, leading Romanoff by 44 percent to 42 percent in a head-to-head matchup.

Norton led Romanoff by 12 points in January, but the gap narrowed to seven points in February. March's two-point gap is within the survey's margin of error.

"Colorado's race for the U.S. Senate is considerably tighter this month, especially if Democratic incumbent Michael Bennet isn’t in the race," Rasmussen said in its summary of the March survey. For the full report, visit RasmussenReports.com.
